Juanita S. Jasper (September 12, 1920 – January 7, 2015)

Juanita S. Jasper, 94 of Zanesville, died peacefully 3:55 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Cedar Hill Care Center following a short illness. She was born Sunday, September 12, 1920 in Grafton, WV the daughter of Josiah Stansberry and Emma Lou (Shaeffer) Stansberry. She married Victor Earl Jasper on Saturday, August 10, 1940 and was a member of First Christian Church of Christian Disciples.
Juanita retired following many years of service with F. W. Woolworth Store in Zanesville as a Bookkeeper. She was also a real estate agent with Cooper Realty. She was a member of Muskingum Chapter # 485 Order of The Eastern Star, Zane Court # 36 Order of Amaranth and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Juanita was a fantastic cook who loved to prepare dished for her friends and family to the delight of them all. She was an avid bell collector.
Juanita is survived by one daughter: Vicki (Earl) Miller of Zanesville; one son: Richard (Betty) Jasper of Hopewell; six grandchildren: Brian (Sonja) Miller, Trisha (Todd) Taylor, Melissa (John) Fuller, Shandy (Ted) Williams, Natalie (Scott) Buchanan and Angela Jasper; eleven great grandchildren: Grant, Lauren & Mia Williams, Brock Buchanan, Emma, Ian & Madeline Miller, Travis, Brice & Brady Taylor and Kira Fuller.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was Preceded in death by her husband: Victor Earl Jasper who died September 25, 1995; two sisters: Frieda Wayne and Pauline Brock and one brother: Paul Stansberry.
Muskingum Chapter # 485 Order of The Easter Star will conduct Funeral Services at 5:30 PM. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to services from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM on Saturday. Funeral Services to celebrate Juanita’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Juanita will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Zanesville Memorial Park.
