Kathleen M. Schlaegel (March 1, 1945 – August 12, 2014)

Kathleen Marie Schlaegel, 69, of Zanesville, died at 5:12 A.M., on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born March 1, 1945, in Akron, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Collins Walsh. She retired November 1, 2002, as a Radiology Technician from the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center, and was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband Robert L. Schlaegel, whom she married October 12, 2002; a sister Marilyn Smith of Norton, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Walsh of Medina County and Molly Walsh of Tallmadge, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Dorothy Steffee and Frances Slota; and two brothers, Raymond Walsh and Jerome Walsh.

Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M., with a Vigil Service at 4:00 P.M., on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 N 5th Street, Zanesville, with a Dominican Father as Celebrant. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
