The Agriculture Community invites the public to their Farmers Share Breakfast on Saturday, March 20. The breakfast will be held at the Mid-East Career & Technology Center from 8-11am. The menu includes a made to order omelet, sausage, biscuits, juice, and coffee all for only 60 cents per person.
The 60 cent cost represents the cash the farmer would receive for producing the food. It's a great way for folks to understand that farmers make a very small amount for every dollar spent on food in this country. The omelets will be made to order utilizing Farm Bureau volunteers and FFA students to prepare them. In addition to the meal, attendees will be able to view agricultural displays and meet with local farmers.
The event is sponsored by Muskingum County FFA, Tri-Valley FFA, West Muskingum FFA, Ohio Poultry Association, Bob EVans, Mattingly Foods and Farm Credit Services. For more information, on the breakfast contact the Muskingum County Farm Bureau office at 452-2356.
