"Country Music in the Barn" and "Thrivent Financial for Lutherans through their 'Care Abounds in the Community' program" is sponsoring a Country Music Show and Auction, Sunday, August 30th, 12:15 p.m. at Roger's Auction Barn, Salem Church Road, Adamsville, to help Marvin Wheeler meet medical expenses in his fight against cancer. Marvin has been diagnosed with cancer in several locations of his body and is taking chemotherapy at this time.
He is past Fire Chief of the Frazeysburg, Ohio, Volunteer Fire Department and former member of Licking Township, Ohio, Volunteer Fire Department.
Several churches, organizations, friends, and family are unselfishly helping with the planning and teh music groups and music organizations are pitching in also.
There will be three bands performing that day. They are "Kenny Wheeler and Friends," "Frosty Morning Bluegrass," and "Lew Bowers and 'The Old Dogs.'"
Also an aution of new items, a hog raffle, 50/50 drawing, door prizes and lots of good food.
The Duncan Falls/Fhilo VFW will begin serving lunch at 11:00 a.m. and continuing all day. The music begins at 12:15 p.m. and the aution starts at 2:30 p.m. followed by more music. Admission by donation and bring chair.
