Ohio University Zanesville and Zandex Health Care Corporation are teaming up again to offer the CyberSenior classes—computer classes for adults age 60 and older. The 2-hour classes are free of charge and are taught on 5 consecutive Fridays starting September 25th. “The classes are designed first to be fun, and second to help senior adults get some basic computer skills in an environment especially designed for them,” said co-instructor Yvonne Factor,”We teach everything from how to turn the computer on to shopping on the internet.” The classes taught this semester are: Beginning Computer and Internet; Microsoft Word; Advanced Internet and Digital Photography; and a new class--Gadgets and Gizmos, which will include cell phones, web cams and I-pods and more. The classes are eligible for college credit and culminate with a graduation ceremony presided over by OUZ Dean James Fonseca. To register for the classes, contact Yvonne Factor at 588-2167.
