29th Annual Dance & Twirling Cancer Benefit Contest

On Sun, March 10, at 11 a.m., the 29th Annual Cancer Research Donation Baton & Dance Competition benefiting the American Cancer Society will be held at Maysville High School. Over the years, the competition has raised thousands of dollars for the Zanesville chapter of the American Cancer Society. Categories of competition will include ballet, lyrical ballet, tap, clogging, jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, pom-pom/cheer, all types of twirling, and modeling.
Solos, duos, and groups, including majorette lines and baton and flag corps, are welcome. Age groups include 0-6, 7-10, 11-14, and 15 & over. Concessions will be provided by the Maysville Band Boosters. All entry fees and door donations will go to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the contest will begin at 11a.m. Refurbished trophies have been donated by local community members. Call Patricia DeMent Payne at 849-2946 for more details or to register.
