Burley A. Board, Jr., 83, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He was born January 22, 1928 in Hartford, W.V. to the late Burley A. and Ruby Harris Board. He was a coal miner at the Peabody Coal Co. Burley served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a member of VFW #9090, American Legion #222, Eagles #1979. He was also a member of the Masons and Grotto.
Burley is survived by his companion Lou Cornett of Crooksville,a daughter, Anna Lou Garland of Illinois, sisters, Mary Roush and Thelma Filson, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Wanat, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
