Coleen â€˜Nonnyâ€™ Nader Hanawalt, 80, of North Fort Myers, FL was placed in the arms of her savior on Friday, October 18th 2013.
Coleen was born September 25th 1933 in Grady, AR. the daughter of the late Frank and Nora (Osborn) Cresswell.
She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and wife, baking, sewing and writing letters to friends and family. Above all else, she deeply loved and enjoyed her family. In 1987 she attended Ohio Dominican College for Library Media Courses. She served as secretary in ZCS and librarian at St. Thomas elementary school. In recent years â€œNonnyâ€ and her husband Don retired to Ft. Myers FL where they developed lasting friendships.
Coleen is survived by her adoring husband Don Hanawalt whom she married Nov 27, 1990; her four children Christopher Nader, Carolyn Walker, Cheryl (Tony) Bynum and Curtis (Ashley) Nader; 11 grandchildren Joshua, Stephanie, Keith Allen, Ashley, Allison, Cassandra, Cameron, Nathanial, Cheyenne, Charles and Gloria. Nonny was also blessed with a host of great-grandchildren; one sister Joyce (Charles) Towne and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Coleen was preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters.
A celebration of her life and gathering of friends will be 11:30 am Wednesday, October 23rd at the Masonic Lodge behind the Funeral Home in Duncan Falls.
