Doris Annamaria Havas, 75, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born September 10, 1937, in Pirmasens, Germany, a daughter of the late Ludwig Karl Johannes and Frieda Bertzel Walter. She had worked as a nurse’s aide for Adams Lane Care Center. She was a member of the Alliance of Transylvanian Saxons of Youngstown, OH. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved her son and family very much.
Surviving are a son, Frank (Kristin) Havas of Hopewell; 5 grandchildren, Rebecca Bailey, Blayne Havas, Logan Havas, Kolton Havas and Emma Havas; and a great granddaughter, Addyson Dobbins; a brother, Rudi Walter of Germany; a special niece, Jeanie Zets of Austintown, OH; and a special friend, Bob Vaughn of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Havas, who died in 2000; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Rinko.
Calling hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE with Rev. Chuck Norris officiating. Doris will be laid to rest in Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
