Eloise Ruth Miller, 88, of Hopewell, died at 9:00 P.M. Monday, December 2, 2013, at The Helen Purcell Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 28, 1925, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George â€œMacâ€ and Ella Lusby Taylor. She was Co-Owner of Miller Auto Wrecking.
Surviving are a daughter, Eloise Bishop of Zanesville; two sons, William P. (Joy) Miller Jr. of Zanesville and James P. (Paulette) Miller of Hopewell; seven grandchildren, William Bishop, Tim Bishop, Melissa Brown, Melanie Oats, Joe Miller, James Miller, and Julie Mills; and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years William Peter â€œPeteâ€ Miller, whom she married May 19, 1941, and who died February 10, 2008; a grandson Jason Miller; a great grandson Zack Bishop; a son-in-law William P. Bishop; two sisters, Sophia Bay and Mary VanDyne; and a brother Max McClelland.
Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 6, 2013, with Dr. James Miller officiating. Eloise will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Pete at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
