Hattie Mae Stanbery Clark, 88, of Crooksville, went home to be with the Lord at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born September 24, 1924, in Deavertown, a daughter of the late Robert Pickens and Lillian Inman Stanbery. She had worked at Hull Pottery and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, being a mom and grandma and loved to crochet. She was a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are three sons, William Jr. (Marilyn) Clark of Crooksville, Charles (Sandy) Clark of Roseville and Terry Clark of Crooksville; a daughter, Dianne (Ben) Smith of Somerset; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Stanbery of South Zanesville; and a sister, Kay Hedges of Zanesville;
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clark Sr., who passed away in 1989; a daughter, Barbara Clark Lantz; a granddaughter, Jayna Clark; a step great grandson, Pat Newman; two sisters, Roberta Skeens and Jean Eveland; and a brother, Charles Stanbery.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 207 BURLEY ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the funeral home with her son, Bill Clark officiating. Hattie will be laid to next to her husband in Rose Hill Cemetery.
