Isabel Foraker, 88, of Zanesville, passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care from a short illness. She was born on July 9, 1924, in New Concord, Ohio, a daughter of the late Willis and Nancy Lyons Pyle and had been a resident of this area for the last 68 years. She had worked on her farm, at the Howard Johnson, Holiday Inn, and Sycamore Valley Store. She loved sewing, baking, and her donkeys. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
Surviving are five sons, Russ (Mary) Foraker of Chandlersville, David Foraker and Mike (Betty) Foraker, both of Philo, Ray (Abby) Foraker and Jeff Foraker, both of Zanesville; three daughters, Janet (Charlie) Hussing and Beverly Bradley, both of Zanesville and Pam Gonzalas of Phoenix, AZ; 21 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Harry Pyle of Florida, Virg Pyle of Norwich, and Ronnie Pyle of Zanesville; and a sister, Catherine Morrison of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Foraker; two infant children; an infant grandson; and three brothers, Lee, Don, and Bernard.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the funeral home with Chaplain Harlan Johnson officiating. Isabel will be laid to rest next to her husband in Fultonham Cemetery.
