James F. Wheeler, 73, of Zanesville passed away on Saturday October 16, 2010 at the Willow Haven Care Center. He was born in Zanesville on May 12, 1937 to the late Carl N. and Elizabeth A. Snyder Wheeler. He was a 1955 graduate of Zanesville High School and was in the first class to graduate from the new high school on Blue Ave. He retired from the Zanesville Mould Company after 33 years and was employed by the Longaberger Company for 7 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and was a member of the 37th Infantry 737 Maintenance BN of the National Guard from 1960 – 1966.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Beverly J. Shell Wheeler of Zanesville, a daughter Linda J. (Jeff) Wheeler Bowers of Zanesville, a Son James Michael (Molly) Wheeler of Zanesville and a sister Patricia A. “Pat” Wheeler of Zanesville. Grandchildren; Justin and Abbie Bowers of Zanesville and Macey Wheeler of Zanesville.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 19, 2010 from 6 – 9 PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Wednesday October 20, 2010 in The Snouffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Belt and Pastor Nathan Nordine officiating. Burial will follow in the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
