James “Jim” Carl Brown Sr., 65, of Zanesville, passed away at his residence. He was born February 14, 1947, in Zanesville, a son of the late Carl and Betty Shumate Brown. He retired as a layer attendant for Brockway Glass. He attended Finley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling and fishing. He served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Army.
Surviving are his wife, Violet Brown of Zanesville; two daughters, Tawnya (Dave) Bowers of Zanesville and Jamie (Erin) Miller of Adamsville; a son, James C. Jr. (Rose) Brown of Zanesville; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Les (Vivian) Dailey of Zanesville.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE with Rev. Jeff Iden officiating. Jim will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
