James Thomas McGee 70, of Zanesville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 18, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family after a long illness.
James was born on April 4, 1944 in Zanesville to the late Merle and Daisy Ingles McGee. He was a lifelong member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, Muskingum Lodge 368 F.&A.M. Fultonham, Ohio, 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason Valley of Cambridge, Grand Lodge of Ohio, and Amrou Grotto of Zanesville. He was retired from the New Bakery and served our country and protected our freedom by serving in The U.S. Marines.
James is survived by his wife Monna Gourley McGee of the home ,grandchildren Alexandrea and Clayton Snack of the home, Sons: James (Lori Lacy) McGee Jr. of Zanesville, Shane Stitler of Coshocton, and Joseph (Hillary) McGee of Zanesville, Daughters: Adorn Frazee of Coshocton, Tammy Parks of West Lafayette, Mandi Cornett of Zanesville, and Crystal (Steve) Porinchok of Zanesville: Sisters: Jayne (Bobby) Mock of Zanesville, and Diane (Billy) Taylor of Anaheim; a brother Merle Allen (Jeanie) McGee; cousin Martha Jane Bowman; 23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Martha Lee Hansel, a brother Rody McGee, and grandchildren Leah Rose McGee and Brogan Josiah Porinchok.
