Jeanette Faye Kessler, 84, of Zanesville, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born September 13, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Cassie Miller Davidson. She attended Meredith Business College. She retired as a tax preparer for H&R Block and was a member of Brighton Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three sons, Robert (Debbie) Kessler of Zanesville, Rodger (Vicki) Kessler of Granville and David (Beth) Kessler of Millersport; a daughter, Elaine (Craig Melick) Kessler Kuntz of Zanesville; 9 grandchildren, Julie, Valerie, Maria, Adam, Natalie, Kimberly, Korri, Cassie and Annie; 7 great grandchildren, Cassandra, Nicholas, Madison, Michael, Claire, Eleanor and Quade; a brother, Robert Davidson of Madison, OH; a sister, Violet Gyure of Painesville, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Kessler, who died April 11, 2000; two sisters, Charlotte Davidson and Margaret Ward; and two brothers, Joseph Davidson and Clint Dunmead.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Tom England officiating. Jeanette will be laid to rest next to her husband, Duane, in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the Muskingum Valley Old-Timers Baseball Association, 1701 W. Main St., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
