Jennie R. Jalbrzikowski, 93, of Zanesville, died Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Cedar Hill Care Center.
She was born June 11, 1917, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Walter and Helen Wojick Jalbrzikowski. She was a 1936 graduate of Lash High School and a lifelong member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She retired from Gould National Battery in l979 and was a twenty year volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She is survived by her sister, Stella Tomson, Zanesville, nephews; Joe (Sharon) Ambrose, Zanesville, Charles (Sally) Jalbrzikowski, Zanesville, Michael (Becky) Jalbrzikowski, Mt. Vernon, Jeffrey Jalbrzikowski, Zanesville, and Mark (Beth) Tomson, Baltimore; nephews by marriage,Quincy Taylor, Titusville, FL, Tom Tewksbary, and Gary Anshutz, both of Zanesville; nieces, Elaine (Gary) Joseph, Zanesville, and Marty (Dave) Ingram, Newark, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Joseph (Chris), (Kay)Ambrose and Charles (Agnes) Jalbrzikowski Sr. and nieces; Kathleen Taylor, Joanne Tewksbary, and Mary Anshutz.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 4-7 P.M. with Christian Wake Service to begin at 6:45 P.M. at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Avenue, Zanesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 23, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Zanesville, with Father Martin J. Ralko officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord, is entrusted with the services.
