Juanita Eileen Jones, 83, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Genesis Morrison House after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born September 5, 1927 in Zanesville, the only child of the late John and Selma (Medley) Nichols. Juanita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and the outdoors as well as camping, painting and sewing.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Wilson Jones, whom she married October 25, 1946. Her children, Rick (Marrijane) Jones of Zanesville, Shellie (Joe) Hohl of Elkins, WV and Kimm (Rick) Bowman of Zanesville; nine grandchildren Micah, Jordan and Colin Jones; Gregg and Jeff (Chloe) Wells, Cory (Misty) and Kyle Bible; Dean and Danielle Bowman, and great granddaughter, Madelyn Bible.
Juanita was a member of the Y-City Women’s Club and the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. At Juanita’s request, Snouffer Funeral Home will handle the dignified cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
