Lenora June “Norie” Miles, 83, of Zanesville, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care. She was born June 2, 1929, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith Gilmore Maxwell. She had worked as a bartender and cook at Triple L Lounge.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond Miles of the home; two sons, Steven (Katie) Denton of Zanesville and Robert (Nancy) Dobbins of South Zanesville; a daughter, Lori (Robert) Chapman of Zanesville; three step daughters, Rennetta Walters of Zanesville, Raeanna (Tim Sagle) Miles of Stovertown and Rena (David) Ridenour of Mount Perry; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy (Tex) Howe and Betty (John) Grotegeer, both of Zanesville and Delores (Ralph) Webb of Stockport; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step son, Raymond Miles; six brothers, Joseph William, George, Stanley, Homer, Edwin and Vernon Maxwell; and three sisters, Violet Ault, Clara Denton and Edith Parker.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6- 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Nancy Amos officiating. Lenora will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
