Margaret Jean “Peg” Thompson Horst, 85, of Zanesville, OH, passed away at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital ER Thursday February 17, 2011 at 3:45 AM.
Peg was born November 8, 1925 the daughter of the late George and Margaret Wilkinson Thompson. She graduated in 1949 from the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA. A member of Central Presbyterian Church, Peg was a former Girl Scout leader and past member of Muskingum County Genealogical Society. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts, scrapbooking, genealogy, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Bonnie Horst and son: Scott Horst both of Zanesville sister: Dorothy Sifinski, brother: Donald (Edith) Thompson all of Canonsburg, PA and 6 nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Wallace E. Horst who died November 21, 1999, daughter: Kimberly Sue Horst who died February 23, 1996 and sister: Ruth Simon.
Visitation for Peg will be 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday February 20, 2011 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville, OH where funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday February 21, 2011. Pastor Ray Morrison will officiate with committal service to follow at Zanesville Memorial Park
