Max E. Hoy, 71 of Zanesville died peacefully in his sleep at 8:55am on Thursday, October 04, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 24, 1941 in Zanesville the son of Lafe and Marie (Warner) Hoy.
Max served in the United States Army and retired after 30 years of service at Central Ohio Coal as a Grater Operator and motocycle riding was Max’s passion. While not riding his motorcycle he could be found working in his garage, workshed or his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Juaneitta L. (Davis) Hoy whom he married on August 10, 1996. Three children, Misty (Rusty) DeBlasio of Georgia, Tina (Gary) Sheets of Duncan Falls, and Julie Mcalister of Newark. A step-son Lonnie (Chrissy) Smith of Maryland and a step-daughter Jodi (Kelly) Masters of New Concord; additional step-sons Jeremy, Josh, Jared McLean. 14 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Two sisters Maxine (Dick) Bauer of Maumee and Deloris McCance of California. Several cousins including Kenny Snyder.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Jackie Hoy and Ron Hoy, a brother David Hoy and a sister Donna Dalrymple.
Friends may call Sunday Oct 7th from 6 to 8pm at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave.Zanesville where Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, October 08, 2012 with Rev. Thomas England officiating. Burial will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Zanesville OH .
