Russell E. Stevens, 80, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Forest View Health Campus. He was born March 30, 1932, in Zanesville, a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Adams Stevens. He was Catholic by faith. He served our country and protected our freedom for 23 years as a member of the United States Air Force.
Surviving are four daughters, Kathy Stevens, Judy Henderson, Candy Lee Heinz and Barbara Ann Stevens; a foster daughter, Esther Coronado; two sisters, Opal King of Zanesville and Catherine Helen Gibbons of Melbourne, FL; and a cousin, Patricia Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; his second wife, Diane; his third wife, Phyllis; twin sisters, Mary Lou Bible and Martha Lee Stevens; and a brother, Guy Stevens.
Calling hours will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W MILITARY RD., ZANESVILLE with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Russell will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
