Shirley Eilers Ray (Vaughan), 64, of Zanesville, returned to her heavenly home, December 3, 2018, following a sudden illness at her home. Shirley was born October 6, 1954, in Starkville, MS, the daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Craven) Vaughan and was a member of the Anchor Church. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed spreading God’s work and love to all she met. Shirley was known for her love a butterflies and throughout her life resided in Mississippi, Florida and Ohio.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Ryan) Fessenden of Gainesville, FL & Heather (Brandon) McKnight of Savannah, GA; two grandchildren, Ethan and Cambria; siblings James (Betty Jo) Vaughan of Starkville, MS, Brian (Joyce) Vaughan of Naples Florida, Cynthia Humphrey of Naples, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 11, 2018, at the Anchor Church, 1365 Chamberlin Street, Zanesville, and all are welcome. A caring cremation has taken place and her remains will be scattered in Mississippi. The family would like to thank Brittany Dalton for her companionship and dedication to Shirley.
