Richard W. Reed (December 4, 1933 – January 9, 2015)

Richard W. Reed, 81, of Zanesville, died at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Emergency Room. He was born December 4, 1933, in Zanesville, a son of the late Charles Glen and Blanche Faye Walters Reed. He retired in 1996 after 28 years of service from Muskingum County Highway Department as an equipment operator and was the owner and operator of Reeds Custom Sawing.

Surviving are a daughter Susan Reed of Thornville; a son Richard (Danyeil) Reed of Zanesville; grandchildren, Shaun Reed, Melissa Reed and Maryiah Howard; three great grandchildren and a sister, Patricia (Russell) Geyer of Zanesville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Marie Reed, who died January 4, 2008; a son David W. Reed;

Friends and family may call 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
