Sam L. Paisley, 76 of Zanesville died at 9:30am Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Adams Lane Care Center under the loving care of Genesis Hospice.
He was born on February 6, 1938 in Zanesville the son of Dana Miller Paisley and Marguerite Fields Paisley.
Sam was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, he graduated in 1956 from Zanesville High School & served in the United States Air Force at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sam was a lifelong, committed, proud liberal Democrat who worked on the McGovern Presidential Campaign and had been employed in sales with several companies, including Sears, Stambaughs & Lowes.
He is survived by his wife Margot A. (du Tant) Paisley, two sons Frank Paisley & Matthew Paisley all of Zanesville; his brother, Jim (Linda) Paisley of Zanesville & a sister Donna (Gary) Weygant of New Jersey; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Sam was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister Sallie Bebout.
There will be no public visitation & the family will hold a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Adams Lane Care Center Activities Department in Sam’s memory.
