An East Fultonham woman is celebrating a milestone birthday.

Margaret Bole is turning one-hundred years old.

She spent the afternoon surrounded by family and friends at the Bethesda Shelter House.

Bole said she doesn't have any secrets to living a long life, but she's an advocate for hard work.

"I Lived on a farm, and was raised on a farm, got out and pitched hay, worked around like that," said Bole.

She brought her companion of 17 years to the party....

One area woman is celebrating a milestone birthday.

Friends and family gathered at the Knights of Columbus Lodge in Zanesville on Sunday to surprise Ruth Schramm, just days before her 100th birthday.

Schramm said being happy and staying busy have been the key to living a long life.

"I have an extraordinary family" said Schramm, "and they take very good care of me, and I think that makes you happy, too."

One local resident is celebrating a milestone.

Virginia Bunting celebrated her 100th birthday with her 93 year old sister Ada and daughter Beverley at Autumn Healthcare in Zanesville.

She celebrated among family and friends on Saturday. Virginia says it was wonderful to be surrounded by so many friends and family on her birthday.
 

"Had almost a hundred people there, friends and relatives," said Virginia.

The Boy Scouts of America are celebrating 100 years of service.

It's a nationwide celebration that brought members to the Colony Square Mall.

"We are showing the community what scouting is all about with various demonstrations, various displays of scouting, activities that kids to interact with," said Commitee Member, Karen Jones.

A spring baby in 1910 is now celebrating her 100th birthday.

Family and friends of Vera Marsh gathered Saturday at Calvary Chapel in downtown Zanesville to celebrate Vera's centennial birthday. Vera's daughter, Marsha, says her mother has always been generous to people who cross her path.

"I remember when I was little... there was this little kid crying and mother (Vera) got in her purse and gave the mother some money because she supposed that the child...
