A local branch of a national organization hosted a fundraiser for Autism at Zane Landing Park.


Saturday, was the 5th annual National Autism Association of Southeast Ohio's Walk for Autism . More than 500 people who are affected in some way by the disease came out to spread awareness and raise money for research.

Large crowds came out to the 2013 Y-City Gun Fest held at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

This is the 4th year for the annual festival. The Rotary Club of Zanesville has organized the event in the past, but this time the Knight's Foundation took charge in planning the event. Knight's President, Joe Nash says he is pleased with the turnout since it was his very first time coordinating the show.

Local community members searching for career opportunities came out to Zane State College for the 2013 Southeastern Ohio Jobs Fair.

At the event there were more than 35 employers searching for qualified candidates to hire in both management and entry level positions.

A division four state championship winning team celebrated this Friday at a school pep rally.

The Starlight Tiger's basketball team received a warm welcome when they entered the gym. The players went through a tough season this year to come out on top.

Music filled Zane Landing Park on Sunday.

The Zanesville Memorial Concert Band had their 2nd installment of the 2013 Summer Concert Series. Two of the band's percussionists are also celebrating Father's Day by playing together. Caitlin Coulson says she enjoys spending time with her father.

The first baby of 2013 born in Zanesville arrived January 1st at 9:21 AM.

Meison Matthew Smith, son of glowing new parents Kali Davis and Ron Smith, was delivered much earlier than expected.

Davis said, "Well he is actually two weeks early, he was due on the thirteenth and we were in bed New Year's Eve and 4:30 in the morning I woke up and told him "Hey my water just broke, we need to get going to the hospital" and at 9:21 we had him! "
