Some of those common mistakes include loose harness straps, chest clips fastened too low, and turning the child forward-facing too soon. Another round of storms blew through the area Tuesday afternoon. To help drivers get through the difficult driving situations, AAA Ohio offered tips for safe driving.

Summer is a time for travel and many people tend to hit the road before looking under their car's hood. 

AAA Ohio will provide a free inspection to make sure that when you do head out for your summer vacation, you don't take a side trip to a mechanic.

AAA and the Muskingum County Center for Seniors are partnering for the 3rd annual Senior Safety Day.

The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors. But it is only one of many events this month at the center. As New Year's Eve approaches drivers are reminded to be safe on the road and use good judgment before getting behind the wheel.

On January 1st of this year, there were 103 crashes that involved alcohol. In an effort to protect the public against drunk drivers, AAA has announced its support of an in-car breathalyzer for all convicted DUI offenders.

Holiday shopping kicks off this weekend and the AAA Auto Club wants consumers to take steps to guard themselves against theft.

Thanksgiving is just about a week away, and that means travelers will be hitting the roadway. The AAA Auto Club anticipates 1.5 million Ohioans will be traveling next Wednesday and Thursday, a 0.2% increase from last year. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety released a new study showing teens are more likely to engage in risky behavior behind the wheel.

The study, which is in conjunction with teen driver week, shows speeding, late night driving, and alcohol use all increase when teen drivers carry passengers their age. Fatal crashes also increase when young drivers are carrying teen passengers.
