The AAA Auto Club is expecting 43.4 million Americans to be traveling this Thanksgiving, including 1.68 million Ohioans. AAA Spokeswoman Kimberly Schwind, says that's a decrease of 1.5 percent nationally and 1.7 percent in Ohio. Although it's a small decrease from last year's numbers, Schwind says the number of travelers has been gradually climbing since the recession. If you're traveling this holiday season, Schwind says the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day to travel.

Hunting season starts Saturday and that means drivers need to pay close attention to the roadways for deer.

The AAA Foundation of Traffic Safety has some concerns with the findings of a recent survey.

AAA is predicting low prices at the pump in 2013.

The auto club says the drop in prices is due to lower demand and an increase in domestic oil production. While prices will be lower throughout the year, there could be a possible increase through April or early May, which is beneficial information for drivers planning that summer vacation.

Soon travelers will be taking to the skies and roadways all in an attempt to make it home for Christmas.

AAA said that 84.4 million travelers nationwide and 3.2 million Ohioans will take drive to their holiday destination. New research has been released by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. They looked at crash rates for all drivers during a fifteen year period. Their findings were the number of crashes per miles driven has actually decreased and more so for the older drivers.
