The general election takes place a little over a month from Tuesday. The benchmark means that voters can now begin to cast their absentee ballots.

Important deadlines approach as we near the November Fifth general election.

Election Officials are telling those who plan to vote absentee in November to make sure their information is current.

Voters wanting to get absentee ballots by mail on a timely basis for the November election have until July 31st to make sure their voter registration is up to date.

The Muskingum County Board of Elections has some important information you need to know for this year's election.

Director Chris Hamill says the Secretary of State has ordered that in person absentee voting will end this friday November 4th at 6 p.m., which is new this year.
