ZANESVILLE, OH- ACCEL and Mid-Ohio Food Bank teamed up to create their first free farmers market outside of Zane State.

ACCEL Project Manager, Jason Schroeder, said that they spent all morning unloading tons of food for people.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio - The Appalachian Center for Collaborative and Engaged Learning (ACCEL) has partnered with one of the state’s largest food banks to help provide 10,000 pounds of free produce to residents in need.

The City of Zanesville plans to lease a building once designated as the new location of the north end firehouse.

The property at 1674 Fairview Road was owned by McCullough's Tree Service and was purchased by the city. Lack of funding, put a project on hold that would have turned it into a fire house. Now, the city is leasing it to the Appalachian Center for Collaborative and Engaged Learning.

There's an opportunity this summer for kids to pick up a paycheck and learn life skills along the way.

The Muskingum County Opportunity Center received a $280,000 grant from the State of Ohio to employee those between the ages of 14-24.
