A man is cited after hitting the back-end of another vehicle earlier today.

Trooper Patrick Townsend of the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol says it happened around 2 p.m. on Thursday. He says Brandon Shaver was riding his motorcycle northbound on Ceramic Road about a half mile north of State Route 669, when he rear-ended a pick-up truck being driven by Tyler Burgess, who was slowing down to turn into a driveway.

A female worker is taken by Medflight to Riverside Hospital in Columbus after becoming injured at a Newark construction site.

ODOT says it happened around 8:30 a.m. at the 21st Street project, just north of Ohio 16.

Newark Fire Chief, Dave Decker, says Patricia Riser was operating a drill and became caught in that drill. He says she sustained a non life-threatening injury to her arm.

Riser is a construction worker with Shelly and Sands Incorporated, based in Zanesville.

Granville Post State Troopers say a 52-year-old Newark man, who died in an overnight motorcycle crash Saturday, was not wearing a helmet.

It happened just after midnight in Madison Township.

Troopers says Michael Annarino was traveling north on State Route 79 when his motorcycle went of the right side of the road and overturned. Annarino was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

A two-car accident on Maple Avenue backs-up traffic for about an hour.

It happened around 6 p.m. in front of Arby's.

Zanesville Post Trooper Williams says the driver of the Chevy Cavalier was traveling north on Maple Avenue and got in the turning lane to make a left hand turn into the Country Fair Shopping Center. The Newark Police Department says a woman is transported to Licking Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after an accident on 21st Street.

It happened around 2:30 p.m.

Sergeant Al schaffer says the driver of the Cadillac was traveling north on 21st Street in the center turning lane when she was struck by the driver of Scion, who was pulling out of a nearby shopping center. A two-vehicle accident in Zanesville sends two people to the hospital.

Sergeant Chris Phipps of the Zanesville Police Department says around 4:30 p.m. a red Dodge Neon was traveling southbound on Mead Street and failed to yield at a stop sign striking a red Chevy truck that was driving eastbound on Ridge Avenue.

Emergency personnel had to use the jaws of life to take the door off the passenger side of the Dodge Neon. Both the driver and passenger of that vehicle were transported...

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle accident on State Route 146.

 It happened Thursday morning near the Olde Falls Inn.

The Highway Patrol says there were minor injuries in the accident.

Traffic is also backed-up on State Route 146 and will remain that way  while the incident is investigated.

No other details have been released.

Medflight transports a 26-year-old Fresno woman after she sustains injuries from an ATV crash in Coshocton County.

It happened around 6:30 Saturday evening on Township Road 156.

The Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Steve Hall of Fresno was traveling west when he lost control of his four wheeler, went off the left side of the road, and overturned. Both Hall and his passenger, Lisa Oyler, were ejected. Deputies say they weren't wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

The Zanesville Post says alcohol is a factor in a Saturday evening accident that sent one woman to the hospital.

Trooper Williams says around 5 p.m., 21-year-old Joshua Pyle of Chandlersville, was traveling in the 1,900 block of Zane Grey Road, when he went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. His passenger, 22-year-Courtney McGraw of Zanesville, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Two vehicles sustain major damage after an accident Thursday evening.

Trooper Adam Mckenzie of the State Highway Patrol says around 5:46 p.m. a red Toyota Echo driven by Jessica Moore was traveling westbound on State Route 146 when she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto North Dietz Road and was struck by a green Ford Focus driven by Jon Hummel.

Moore was driving with her one-year-old daughter. No one was injured in the accident.
