A two vehicle accident sent four people to the hospital Monday night.
It happened just before 6 p.m. in the 2700 block of Licking Road, causing a portion of the road to be closed for nearly an hour.

The Granville Post of the Highway Patrol says I-70 Eastbound in Licking County is closed due to an accident. Troopers say it happened just past State Route 79 at 4:18 Tuesday morning. A semi tractor trailer and a van were involved in the accident. No word on how long I-70 will be closed. The detour is US 40.
Anitera Sharrer, 5, of Zanesville was struck by an oncoming Ford 150 shortly after 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
Her father, Aaron Sharrer said Anitera was crossing Luck Avenue just south of Dryden Road. Sharrer also said, it appeared that the driver of the truck strongly applied the brakes. Zanesville Patrol Officer, Vickers said there was no indication the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The Zanesville Highway Patrol says the westbound lanes of U.S 40 are closed Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle accident. It happened just before 8:00 a.m. at Kimes Road. Initial reports say that the vehicles suffered heavy damage. The accident remains under investigation.

It happened around 5:10 p.m. on State Route 60 South near Shelly and Sands. According to Sgt. Kevin Kelley of the State Highway Patrol, a van being driven by 66-year-old Marjeane B.
