Zanesville Police says I-70 Westbound in the Zanesville City limits has now re-opened after an accident Wednesday morning.  Dispatcher says there were two vehicles involved in the crash that happened at the 6th Street on-ramp around 9:30 a.m.  It did not take crews long to clear the scene and re-open the highway.  Initial reports from the scene by Police indicate a car and a truck were traveling westbound on I-70 when the truck driver claimed he hydroplaned. The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle accident that happened in Perry County Saturday afternoon.

The OSHP said two adults were transported via MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus and two children were taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. No other details are available at this time.

A driver at the Dresden Road and Maple Avenue intersection crashed into a Zanesville business early Wednesday morning.

The Lancaster Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle accident in Perry County that resulted in one person being ejected from their vehicle.

 American Electric Power reports that some of its customers are without service Friday morning. 

Officials report that power was cut to 217 customers after a car hit a power pole. It will take one to two hours before power is restored. 

As a result of the outage WHIZ's AM 1240 will be off the air until service is restored. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Zanesville Police say a two vehicle accident sent two women to the hospital Friday morning and shut down Maple Avenue.  It happened around 10 a.m.  Captain Doug Merry says one vehicle was traveling north on Maple and veered left and struck another vehicle.  One of the victims had to be pulled from her vehicle with the Jaws of Life.  Both women were taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. No other details have been released.

A Zanesville man is dead following an early morning accident.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at around 9:35 a.m., Joseph K. Ross of Zanesville, was driving westbound on US 40 when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck two mailboxes. His vehicle continued through a yard and vaulted off a concrete bridge and struck a concrete wall. OSHP said the vehicle came to a rest in a water filled creek. Ross was not wearing a seatbelt.

I-70 WB at Exit 169 (SR 83) has now re-opened after an accident. Traffic was being detoured via Exit 169 back to  I-70 WB. Emergency crews were on the scene and have now cleared the scene.
