The State Patrol says a drunk driver is to blame as two cars collided on North River Road East Wednesday evening.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. just north of Riverside Park.  According to Trooper Troy Hale, an intoxicated Derek Bush, 36, of Roseville was heading north in an Olds 88 and went left of center.  He then collided head on with a Ford Focus driven by Charles B. Kinney, 34, of Zanesville who was traveling southbound.

Failure to yield to a red light left one car on its side in Zanesville Wednesday evening.

The call for the wreck came just after 5PM. Officer Derek Shilling of the Zanesville Police Department says a red Kia, occupied by one, was traveling westbound on Market Street near 6th Street. A tan Buick occupied by two was headed northbound on 6th Street in the left lane when it entered the intersection and struck by the Kia which ran the red light. The Kia then flipped onto its side. The Zanesville Police Department is investigating an accident in downtown Zanesville. It happened at the intersection of 6th and Market Streets around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. One vehicle ended up on its side. There were not serious injuries reported. The accident remains under investigation.

The Zanesville Post of the Highay Patrol is investigating a two car accident that left one on its side.

It happened just after 3:30PM Tuesday afternoon near 2005 Chandlersville Road. Trooper Troy Hale told us how the accident occurred.

A five car injury accident occurred on eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 146 Monday evening.

The call for the accident came at about 9:30. We spoke to Kevin Kelley, Sergeant of the Ohio State Highway Patrol who told us how the crash happened.

The State Highway Patrol responded to a 3 car injury accident at 8:54 Friday night. According to officials the incident occurred at Rts. 62 and 661 in Bulington Township.

Charles T. Starr, 71, was traveling south on 661 with his passenger and wife, Wilma J. Starr, 76, in a Chevrolet Cavalier when he failed to yield at at red light. The State Highway Patrol responded to a three car injury accident on US 40 Westbound at 5:29p.m. Friday evening which closed a portion of the road for over two hours.

According to Sgt. The Highway Patrol says the Maysville Pike is now re-opened after a multiple vehicle accident. It happened around 2:45 pm at Pinkerton Road and involved as many as six vehicles. At least one vehicle was on fire at the scene and fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze. There was one person injured. The accident remains under investigation..
