Tragedy struck Adamsville last Monday when Adam Shinn died during a hunting accident. Today, December 7th, the Adamsville Fire Department showed their support for Shinn's family by hosting a spaghetti dinner benefit.

Many members of the community including hundreds of the Shinn family's friends, neighbors and supporters showed up for the spaghetti dinner. They all enjoyed the five dollar meal provided by the Adamsville Fire Department.

The Adamsville Fire Department honored a local firefighter today.

Dave Shinn is celebrating 50 years of service to the Adamsville Fire Separtment. Shinn started working as a firefighter when he was just 18 years old and he says they have come a long way since then.

A fire engulfed a home late Saturday night completely destroying the structure.

New Concord Fire Department was first on the scene and say that they received a call from a witness who noticed smoke coming from the home on the 10000 Block of Coshocton Road. They arrived at approximately 9:30 p.m. and firefighters say no one was injured and that  the family was on vacation in Virginia Beach at the time of the blaze.

The firefighters in Adamsville celebrate and honor the Memorial Day holiday with an annual fish fry.

The fry is the largest fundraiser for the Adamsville Fire Department, bringing in hundreds of people from all over the area and then some.

"It's from around the area, the people that have lived here in the past and I talked to a family that comes here every year from Marietta, they meet up here and have a little reunion,” said Chief David Wortman.

The Adamsville Fire Department was presented the check to help the department purchase new equipment like self-contained breathing apparatus', protective clothing and communications equipment.

The Adamsville Fire Department is still on the scene of a fire that took place early Wednesday morning.

The Adamsville Fire Department said the received a call of a trailer fire at 7135 Mutton Ridge Road just after 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to scanner traffic the trailer was believed to be vacant.

Adamsville Fire and EMS responded to a two car crash at the intersection of Ohio 93 and Ohio 83 in Otsego Saturday afternoon.

According to State Highway Patrol Trooper Adam McKenzie around 1:17 p.m. a black pick-up truck was traveling northbound on Ohio 83 attempted to turn left onto Ohio 93, failed to yield and struck on oncoming silver car traveling southbound on Ohio 93.

A home in the Village of Otsego is a total loss after a fire late Tuesday afternoon.

According to Captain Raymond Wortman of the Adamsville Fire Department it happened at 1175 Plainfield Road around 4:00. He said upon arrival crews could see smoke coming from the one story, wood frame house.

A woman was taken by Med-Flight after an accident involving farm equipment.

It happened around 7:45 p.m. Thursday at 11870 Lookout Road in Monroe Township.

According to scanner traffic, the woman was caught up to her waist in a piece of farm equipment. People on the scene extracted her and she was unconscious and bleeding from her leg.

The woman was taken to the Adamsville Fire Department where she was transferred by Med-Flight to a hospital in Columbus.
