The 25th Annual Angel Tree benefit has raised over $160,000 over the 25 years to give children in the area gifts for Christmas. This year raising $5,000.

The Renner Theater hosted the Annual Angel Tree play this weekend and today was the final performance. The event was free to the public but they did accept donations.

This weekend was the 22nd annual production for the Angel Tree Benefit by The Zane Trace Players.

As always, the ticket prices for the show were all donations depending on what viewers could give. All proceeds from ticket sales went to help benefit the Salvation Army"s Angel Tree. This year the Zane Trace Players will be shopping for about 100 children.

You can be an angel to a child in need this Christmas.

The Salvation army said over 1,000 children are still in need for this year's Angel Tree Program. The angels can be found on trees at the Colony Square Mall, Community Bank and Century National Bank. On the angels is a list of items the child would like for Christmas, with distribution day quickly approaching taking an angel is of the upmost importance.

A Christmas performance is bringing cheer to children in our area.

"A Cookie-Cutter Christmas" show entertained its final audience of the season at The Renner in Zanesville.  Director Rich Tolliver said all of the money generated from ticket donations goes to the Salvation Army's Angel Tree benefit.  This year's performance will help 66 kids open presents on Christmas, but Tolliver said the real gift isn't something you can wrap.

If you've ever wanted a celebrity to serve you dinner, next Tuesday is the perfect opportunity.

The Applebee's restaurant in Zanesville is hosting its Celebrity Server event on November 15th.  Applebee's General Manager David Jacobs said Senator Troy Balderson, Mayor "Butch" Zwelling and other well-known locals will shadow servers and collect tips for the Angel Tree.

A community comes together for a good cause.

The 20th annual Angel Tree Benefit performed its last Christmas show for the season this afternoon.  The benefit raised money for The Salvation Army serving Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties.  Under volunteer effort, Director Rich Tolliver says over 60 people took the stage to perform.

The Salvation Army wants to remind people that the deadline for Christmas applications is right around the corner.

The Salvation Army is working on their Christmas project that provides food baskets for families and toys for kids. They are taking applications from October 25 through October 29.

The Salvation Army in Zanesville is packing boxes and organizing toys to get ready to give more than a thousand toys to families in tomorrow's Angel Tree toy giveaway.
