The Animal Shelter is having its Christmas open house this Saturday and they're hoping lots of animals will get a home for the holidays.

All cats, dogs and other critters at the shelter are available for adoption. Thanks to generous sponsors, We Lov Pets and Invisible Fence, the first twelve adoptions will be at half price.

The new executive director of the animal shelter in Muskingum County is already making progress.

The animal shelter in Muskingum County is reviewing applications for a new executive director.

Shelter Board Director Stephanie Hill had said that Larry Hostetler was terminated for financial reasons.  Board member Holly Voltz said the shelter continues to look for a leader who is ready to fundraise and take the shelter in a new direction.

Tails were wagging on Saturday at the animal shelter in Zanesville.
