A Coshocton County man is causing quite the commotion in North Carolina. Joseph "Sean" McVey was found armed in a North Carolina parking lot yesterday afternoon as Air Force One, that was carrying President Obama, was departing.

McVey was arrested and has since been charged, but some fellow co-workers say they're shocked about the whole incident.

A Perry County woman is dead after a shooting incident yesterday.

The Athens County Sheriff's office says it responded to Biddyville Road in New Marshfield and found that 22-year-old Jerri Vernon of New Straitsville had a gun shot wound near her stomach.

She was taken to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital where she died about an hour later.

Operations Officer, Lieutenant Bryan Cooper, says 26-year-old Matthew Culbertson was taken into custody on an involuntary manslaughter charge...

A Mount Perry woman is arrested after an afternoon shooting.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at 5888 Cinmarron Road.

Sergeant John Russell says an altercation occurred between Bill Wilson and the woman over money. Russell says the woman then presented a gun and shot Wilson in the right shoulder outside the home. Russell says there was a juvenile inside the residence at the time of the shooting.

Zanesville Police say one person is in custody in connection with a drug buy-bust. It happened Thursday in the area of Underwood Street and the Veterans Memorial Bridge around 1:00 in the afternoon. Police say the vehicle of 39-year-old Michael Harris of Zanesville was stopped by a patrol unit and officers found between 10 and 100 grams of powder cocaine. Harris is facing charges of trafficking in drugs, drug abuse, permitting drug abuse and drug paraphernalia. Formal charges will be filed...

Police arrested one person  in connection with the rash of arsons in Newark.

Shane Cartmill of the State Fire Marshall's office said he could not go into detail about the suspect, but he did say the individual arrested could be responsible for multiple fires. At this time charges are pending. According to Cartmill, evidence and tips led to the arrest Tuesday evening.
