In an effort to educate customers about its appliance recycling program, AEP Ohio, has commissioned three local artist to turn an inefficient refrigerator into a work of art.

The Artists Colony of Zanesville is featuring their new Artist of the Month.

Mark Bellew does his work at the Heart of Art Studio which is an art program for artist who attend Muskingum Starlight Industries. The program allows adults with developmental disabilities to work in a safe creative environment, Bellew says he is passionate about the work he does.

Friday's Art Walk will feature an artist slightly off the beaten path of Downtown Zanesville.

Ceramic Artist Dan Towning has been working the past 20 years at restoring an old-brick home along Putnam Avenue. Three years ago he opened his own Gallery in the home's downstairs shop.

'First Friday' in Zanesville will take a step back in time featuring a collection of old photos.
