The Zanesville Police Department says business and 911 lines are back up and running.

The department lost all phone service after an accident that occurred around 11:00 a.m. Thursday. EMA Director Bo Keck said a Columbia Gas Company crew was doing some work and accidentally severed all phone lines to the Zanesville Police Department, including 911.

AT&T has introduced new technology to the Zanesville area Friday, August 22.

Digital Life is a home automation system that allows you to remotely manage your home from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Individuals who purchase it will be able to turn lights off, tweak heating and cooling, and use it for security measures. In 2012 Ohio passed a law banning texting while driving, but nearly two years later it remains a serious problem. Whiz's Courtney Wheaton tells us about the latest effort to drive home the message that texting while driving is unacceptable.

AT&T has a brand new phone plan that is just in time for the release of the latest set of iPhones.

As a part of AT&T's It Can Wait Campaign, students gathered at the OUZ campus for National Drive 4 Pledges Day.

The program aims to have students all over the country sign a life time commitment vowing to never text while on the roadway. The campaign also wants to bring awareness to the dangers and consequences of texting while driving.

If you drove down Sixth Street in downtown Zanesville, you might have seen some picketers.
