Zanesville senior Devyn Bonner signed a national letter of intent Tuesday afternoon to continue her basketball career at Alderson Broaddus University.

Bonner capped off her season season scoring over 1,000 points for her career and was selected to this year's Muskingum Valley-Licking County all-star game as well as the North-South game.  Bonner was named this season's ECOL Scarlet Division player of the year and was a second team All-Ohio selection.

 The John Glenn Muskie basketball team was honored by State Representative Brian Hill (R-Zanesville) and Senator Troy Balderson in Columbus this afternoon an Ohio House session on their state championship season.

"I am honored to be able to present this resolution to the Muskies and to have such a great team representing New Concord and the 97th House District," Rep. Hill stated in an official press release.

The John Glenn Muskie Boys Basketball team play for those they've lost, for their community and fans, and for each other. From defeats in the post-season to the devastating loss of a former teammate and friend, the Muskie's journey to the State Championship was hard on and off the court, but when they take everything "One Game At A Time", this team could accomplish anything.

 The Ohio State Buckeye basketball program remains in a state of turmoil.  In the past 24 hours, three of the five freshmen players from this season will take their talents elsewhere and transfer to a new program.  

A.J. Harris, Mickey Mitchell, and Daniel Giddens have all requested transfers from Ohio State.  Only one player, JaQuan Lyle, remains from OSU's recruiting class from a year ago.

The John Glenn Muskies are enjoying their time as state champions after one of the toughest seasons in program history.  The Muskies have had to deal with adversity throughout the entire season, but came together as a team when it mattered most.  John Glenn finished the regular season 19-1 with their only loss of the season coming against Linden High School during this year's KSA in Florida.  The Muskies never looked back and dominated postseason play.  After two straight...

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Drew Rackley has been named the most outstanding player of the Associated Press Division II all-tournament team after leading New Concord John Glenn to its first state championship.

Rackley scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Little Muskies beat Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 76-72 Saturday. He had 22 points in a semifinal victory Thursday.

The John Glenn Muskies have lived up to expectations all season long.

Saturday afternoon at the Schottenstein Center was no exception.

The Muskies seldom trailed perennial power St. Vincent-St. Mary and held on to win the first state title in program history, 76-72.

Senior guard Drew Rackley led the way for John Glenn with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Rackley was named the tournament MVP for his efforts, joined on the all-tournament team by teammate Matt Weir.

The best senior hoopers of Muskingum Valley faced off with the best of Licking County in the annual Muskingum Valley- Licking All-Star game. On the girls side, Muskingum Valley won 89-64 lead by Maysville Big Cat Kori Sidwell with 18 points. Licking won the boys game 110-96 behind 28 points from Licking Heights senior Austin Dulaney.
