Kim Schuster has been battling cancer for more than a year, and she just received some great news. The doctors believe she is cancer free.

Schuster just had surgery this past week.

"They removed all the jaw bone and the lymph nodes here. She is supposedly cancer-free. Then they're going to take a piece of bone from the leg and reconstruct the jaw, " says benefit coordinator, Dave Johnson.

1950's music and classic cars filled the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Sunday afternoon.

It is all to support a local woman, Bonnie Mauller, who is battling cancer.

"She was diagnosed with lung and colon cancer and last year she lost her 23-year-old son to cancer and I wanted to do a lot to help the family out with their medical bills, they are having a lot of trouble," says organizer Rita Hess.

Chuckie Murrey's friends and family are doing what they can to help his wife and two young daughters financially.

A benefit banquet was held at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds, and those attending raised their glasses in memory of the 35-year-old.

Friends of Chuckie Murrey, the man who died from several bee stings in August, are holding a benefit banquet for his family.  Friends say Chuckie was a family man with a big heart and they hope to raise around $20,000 for the family.

A community is rallying together for one woman's time of need.

People gathered in Chandlersville for a benefit dinner to support Kandi VanFossen, who was diagnosed with cancer back in July.
