Out with the cold weather and bring out the flip flops, at least for now.

Monday was the beginning of what's considered the Indian Summer and with the weather being in the upper 60's everyone seems to be taking advantage of the warm weather. We spoke to some people at Bethesda Fitness Trail and at the Ohio University of Zanesville they all had just about the same feelings for today's weather.

With the ongoing construction at the new Genesis Hospital, the Gorsuch Fitness Trail is expected to close this Sunday.

The most recent phase of construction on the Genesis-Bethesda campus takes place in the North West corridor, along one of the most active roads on site.

Last week in Zanesville, temperatures reached the 90 degree mark and added humidity made it feel even hotter.

This led many area locals to crank up their air conditioners and stay inside until the weather cooled down. In contrast, Sunday people were up bright and early at the Genesis Bethesda Trail enjoying the break in the extreme heat.

Although flu season is over, there's a 24-hour virus going around Muskingum County. Local hospital emergency departments have noticed an increase in patients complaining of flu-like symptoms.

The final day of January felt like a spring day in May!

Tuesday's unseasonably warm temperatures made for a great day to be outside or to take an extra long lunch break.

We caught up with walkers at the Bethesda Fitness Trail who were enjoying the warm weather.
