Big Bothers Big Sisters of Zanesville had a very special update for us.

We spoke to Mollie Crooks, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters who told us Bowl for Kids Sake was a great success this year.

"We had again, tremendous support from the community. We raised $78,400. So thats the fundraising part of Big Brothers Big Sisters. So people have supported us in that aspect."

Teams can still be formed for the Big Brothers Big Sisters annual Bowl for Kids Sake event.

Nearly 700 people are currently participating in the two month long fundraising effort. Executive Director, Mollie Crooks, said the organization's goal this year is $80,000, and that they are getting close to it. But, she said more people can still get involved if they want to help raise some money and hit the bowling alley.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is hoping to roll a strike for its annual Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser

Last year the event raised $70,000, but this year the organization is aiming much higher.

January is National Mentoring Month, and Big Brothers Big Sisters is in need of volunteers.

Ohio State Fans and fans of Big Brothers Big Sisters gathered together to raise money for the organization Friday Night.

The Buckeye Pep Rally was held at the Veterans Hall at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds. Tickets for the event could be bought ahead of time or at the door. After weeks of donating, one lucky WHIZ employee was chosen to get pied in the face.
