The local chapter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters hosted its 27th Annual "Bowl for Kids Sake" on Sunday.
Executive Director Mollie Crooks said 32% of the organization's funding is generated through this event.
"It's a phenomenally giving community and so we know there's a lots of opportunities for people to give, we think that the people that give to our program are passionate about children who see the results," she Crooks.

The organization says preliminary results indicate the event has raised more that 70 thousand dollars. "Bowl for Kids' Sake" was held at the Maysville All-Star Lanes over the past four days and drew in 215 teams. That's more teams than the event saw last year, But the event isn't stopping there.
