Assistant Director of the John McIntire Library, Blair Tom, says in 2013, for every dollar invested in the general revenue fund, the library provided $5.15 in services, resources and materials to the community.

A branch of the Muskingum County Library System was closed Friday due to weather complications.

Assistant Director, Blair Tom says that the extreme shifts in temperatures caused the sidewalk in front of the South Zanesville branch to lift, making it impossible to open its front doors.

If you're feeling trapped by the winter weather and are looking to escape a good book may cure the season's blues.

The Muskingum County Library System is getting set to launch its "Book bags to Go" for adults. The bags contain three books. All adults have to do is pick a bag, borrow the books, return the books when finished and the bag is yours to keep.

The John McIntire Library is set to implement some procedural changes after receiving suggestions from its patrons.

Starting on January 2nd, library card holders will be able to put more items on their cards including books and cd's.
