The Village of Thornville has issued a boil advisory for some its water customers. Administrator Beth Patrick says due to a water main break the following areas are under the alert: Thornville Drive, Park Drive South and 108 South Church to the Village Bowling Alley. A water main break on Pinecrest Drive has forced Muskingum County Water officials to issue a boil advisory .
Water Department Manager Don Madden says the areas affected are west of the Pinecrest water storage tank which includes the Timber Run Subdivision, Walnut Hills Subdivision and the Villages of Mt. Sterling and Gratiot.
The boil advisory does not affect areas along the West Pike or old National Road.

The New Concord Water Department has issued a boil advisory. Operations Manager John Morrow says the alert is in effect for customers on Paden Drive, Eastview Drive, Lowery Lane and Meadowood subdivision. The boil advisory remains in effect until further notice. Morrow says water service could be restored later Wednesday. Customers may experience low pressure and discolored water and should not do laundry until the water clears.
The Muskingum County Water Department says some area customers are without water service Thursday. There was a water main break in the Dillon Hills area in Nashport. Officials says that area and all side streets will be under a boil advisory once service is restored. Customers should also check water for discoloration before doing laundry.
