The Muskingum County Water Department has issued a boil advisory due to a water line break.
The department said that all customers that were without water pressure as a result of a water line break on Jersey Ridge Road should boil their water. The advisory affects the area west of Licking Road, including all of the West Pike and side roads.
The Village of Somerset is reporting that a water main break that knocked out service on Tuesday is now causing another problem. Village Officials says water service has been restored, but now a boil advisory has been issued for the entire Village. Officials say the advisory remains in effect until further notice. Two area boil advisories have been lifted in our area. The Maysville Regional Water District says the boil advisory has been lifted for Potts Lane, Ridge Road, Coopermill Road, Old Coopermill Road and all side streets. The Village of Crooksville announced Friday that it also lifted its Boil Advisory for China Street.
