The Muskingum County Water Department has lifted the boil advisory for some of its customers.

The areas affected included those living at 8180 S. River Road going south to Gaysport and all side roads.

The New Concord Water Department has lifted the boil advisory in the North Friendship Drive area.

Officials had issued the alert on Tuesday due to a water main break.

Tests have confirmed the water is safe and residents may resume normal use.

The village of New Concord is under a boil advisory due to a water main break. Officials says water customers on North Friendship Drive north of John Glen School Road, Jay Layman Drive, Cedar Circle and Ridgeview Drive are advised to boil all drinking water until further notice. Due to a water main break, a boil advisory has been issued for the Crooksville School System. An official from the water plant says it should be lifted within the next few days.

The Maysville Regional Water District has lifted the boil advisory issued for the following areas:

Jenkins Drive, Lakewood Drive, Thorn Drive, upper Broadvue Circle, Zella Drive, Foxfire Drive, and Mailibu Lane.

A boil alert affecting customers customers of the Morgan-Meigsville water district has been lifted.

The district had issued the alert for the McConnelsville area on Tuesday due to construction work taking place in the village.

Construction work in McConnelsville is causing the Morgan-Maysville water district to issue a boil advisory.

The South Zanesville boil alert is causing some problems for Village businesses.

WHIZ talked to the South Zanesville Subway to see how the water problem is affecting business. Besides not being able to sell fountain drinks or soup, washing hands also becomes an issue.

The area affected included North Friendship Drive north of John Glenn Road, Jay Layman Drive, Cedar Circle and Ridgeview Drive.

A water main break that forced schools in the East Muskingum School District to close early Monday has also resulted in a boil advisory.
