Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller says Tuesday night’s bomb threat turned out to be nothing more than a domestic dispute. The Chief says that 25-year-old Megan Moyer of Zanesville was charged with inducing panic after she called police and claimed her husband was building a pipe bomb. An 11-year-old boy sits in the Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center following his arrest in connection to a Tuesday bomb threat. 

The threat was found written on a bathroom wall at Foxfire Schools on Pinkerton Lane. During the course of the investigation, school resource officer Deputy Joseph came across the student, who upon questioning confessed to writing the threat about two weeks earlier.

There were some tense moments Tuesday afternoon at Foxfire School at 2805 Pinkerton Road after a bomb threat.

A message was discovered on the wall in a boy’s restroom in the elementary school by a teacher that indicated there was a bomb. Superintendent Todd Whiteman says they followed their standard emergency protocol and students were kept in their classrooms while the threat was investigated.

According to the Perry County Sheriffs Office, the Courthouse received a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.

The call came on the non emergency line shortly after 12PM Wednesday saying that there was a bomb in the Courthouse. The building was evacuated for 2 1/2 hours as the State Fire Marshals K-9 unit searched the perimeter. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says a bomb threat has been reported at Tri Valley High School. One report indicates that the threat was written on a bathroom wall and it said “the bomb will go off at 12:30.” A student saw the writing on the wall and told the principal. Around 5:30 p.m. Monday evening, a call came into the Fairfield County 911 services from a suspected male claiming to have a bomb and hostages at 243 North Columbus Street in Somerset.

A bomb threat has been called in to the Somerset Police Department Monday evening on N. Columbus St.

A man accused of calling a bomb threat into the Perry County Courthouse appears in court.

A preliminary hearing was set for Thursday in the case of 29-year-old Gregory Allan Goodin. Bond was also set at $50,000 and an attorney appointed.

Sheriff William Barker said his deputies were informed by the New Lexington Police Department about the threat on February 18. The facility was evacuated  and searched by a bomb sniffing dog, which found nothing.

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says the Courthouse was closed for a short time Tuesday after a bomb threat.  The Sheriff says at around 12:30 p.m. deputies received information from the New Lexington Police Department about a bomb threat at the Court House.  Sheriff Barker says the facility was evacuated and secured.
